Erma Lou Wolford, age 74, of Lester, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2026 surrounded by her family.
Erma was born May 20, 1951 in , a daughter of William and Adelay Francis. She married the love of her life, Ronnie Lee Wolford and they spent a beautiful 41 years together before she left this earth.
Erma was a devoted attendee of the Lester First Church of God. She attended for many years and loved the Lord with all her might. Erma loved her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. Erma loved each and every one of her family members unconditionally and showed it every day.
Erma enjoyed fishing and spending time with her other half, Ronnie, and their pets Chico, Daisy, and Pibble.
Erma will be reunited with her parents, William Francis and Adelay Blankenship and daughter, Gwendolyn Michelle Miller.
Those left to cherish her memory are he husband, Ronnie Wolford; grandchildren, Ashley Nichole Evans and husband Logan, Anthony Bolen and his wife Marilu, Megan Jones and husband Opie, and Tyler Coleman; great-grandchildren, Delilah Evans, Jay Jones, Allieanna Coleman, Kelsie Evans, Lenard Keaton, and 3 step-grandchildren, Jackson, Harrison, and Mackenzie; sister, Angela Helmendollar and husband Robert; brother, David Francis and wife Debbie; nephews, Logan Hellmendollar, Brennan Hellmendollar, Heith Francis, and Little David Francis; step-mother, Bertha Francis; best friend, Benny Keene; and other family and friends who love and miss her dearly.
A Funeral Service honoring Erma will be held on Thursday, February 26th at 1 pm at the Lester First Church of God with Pastor Dale Birchfield officiating. The family will receive visitors starting at 12 noon. After the service, Erma will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park. All those who love Erma and wish to show their support to her family are invited to attend.
