Tony Cumbo

Anthony “Tony” Nebro Cumbo (70) was born on September 24, 1948 in Raleigh County, WV to parents, Sam and Susie Cumbo. He was the youngest of four children: Sam “Junior”, Nellie, and Evelyn.

Tony went to be with the Lord on Sunday December 02, 2018. He is welcomed in heaven by his parents and sister, Evelyn.

In his early life Tony served proudly as a member of the United States Navy. He treasured memories of his service and was an avid supporter of his past and present service men and women.

Tony was a dedicated man to his work and retired as a draftsman from Mining Controls Incorporated. He valued hard work and instilled that trait in his nephews and nieces. After the passing of his father, Tony dedicated his life to caring for his mother, Susie. Tony was especially close to his nephew, Terry Sodosky, and was fondly in the care of his nephew in his passing.

Tony was a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church and honored his faith until his end.

Family was very important to Tony. Many family and friends that will treasure his memory forever survive Tony. He was the loving brother to Nellie and Louis Puskas of Beckley, WV and Sam “Junior” Cumbo of Louisiana. He was a proud uncle to Terry and Pam Sodosky, Sandy Elmore, and Richard Helmondollar of Beckley, WV and Jackie DeSoto of Louisiana. He was the great uncle of Chris and Ashley Sodosky, Marissa and Zach Elmore of Beckley, WV, and Porscha Cassola of Louisiana. Tony was survived and remembered by many cousins and family and friends.

Although we are filled with heavy hearts and great sadness over the loss of our Tony, we are also filled with immense peace in knowing he is reunited with those he loved most and is safe in the arms of the Lord.

Tony, we love you and we wait for the day we are reunited with you again. Peace be with you.
