Services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Pastor E.G. “Buzz” Keller officiating. Interment will be in Hot Coal Cemetery, Sophia.

Regina Moody

Regina Beatrice Moody, 86, died Monday, April 30, 2018, at the Bowers Hospice House following a short illness.

Born November 9, 1931, in McDowell, WV she was the daughter of the late Hazel and Herman Bolen.

Regina last worked in the United Bank of Sophia. Her earlier years, she worked as the Postmaster at Stotesbury Post Office and had worked at Murphy’s. She loved to sew and make quilts. Regina also enjoyed flea markets and yard sales. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was a member of the Mabscott Holiness Church and a former member of the Rebecca Lodge in Sophia.

Regina was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Moody; a son, Rodney Moody; a great grandson, Shane Moody; three brothers, Jack Bolen, James Bolen and George Bolen; two sisters, Elizabeth Craft and Joan Armes.

Survivors include her two sons, Charles (Darrell) Moody and his wife, Becki of Flat Top and Richard Moody of Sophia; her late son, Rodney’s wife, Connie Moody of Sophia; grandchildren, Grayson Moody (Granny’s Angel Baby) of Daniels, Barbara Moody Wood of Barboursville, Charlie Moody of Crab Orchard; great grandchildren, Sarah Wood of Barboursville, Amber Warden of Pluto Road, Cole Moody of Crab Orchard; great- great-grandchildren, Landon Moody of PA, Hunter and Kooper Warden of Pluto Road; a brother, Ted Crouch and wife, Maxine of Vienna, WV ; brother-in-law, Ronald Armes of Melbourne, Florida; many nieces and nephews, among them a special niece, Tranacia Arris of Salem, VA; a host friends.

Services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Pastor E.G. “Buzz” Keller officiating. Interment will be in Hot Coal Cemetery, Sophia.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will be receiving friends at 12 noon on Saturday.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. E.J. Salon and the staff of Bowers Hospice House for the loving care they extended to Regina during her illness.
