Requiem Mass will be celebrated today, Tuesday, November 13 at 11:00 am in the Melton Mortuary. Rev. Fr. Christopher Spray will be the celebrant assisted by Fr. Christopher Angel. The Exequial Service will follow in the Hurt-Trail section at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity.   The family is receiving friends at 10:00am this morning at the mortuary.

The Most Rev. Patrick Craig Taylor

The Most Rev. Patrick Craig Taylor, Superior General, Society of the Virgin Mary went to see his Lord and Savior on November 8th, 2018.

Rev. Taylor was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 9th, 1948. He was the son of the Iate Clarence Walter and Patsy Miller Taylor. Rev. Taylor spent his childhood in Baltimore, Maryland. One of seven siblings, in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Nix and a brother Michael Taylor.   Rev. Taylor is survived by his brothers, David Taylor and Jimmy Nix; sisters, Lisabeth Taylor Grantland and Laura Taylor.

His Excellency was ordained to the priesthood on January 14th,1989 and consecrated to the Episcopacy on November 20th, 1993. The Society of the Virgin Mary is a society of priests dedicated to the traditional Roman Catholic Faith.
