Which serves as proof of the Old Adage, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”!!!

A “true” HOME-MAKER for her husband & children ALL her adult life, she NEVER learned to drive an automobile, preferring to cultivate the 3-1/2 acre parcel of the Moseby Davis Farm at Oak Grove, which she & Dad purchased in 1951 to LOVINGLY feed & nurture their growing family. With three separate gardens, many flower-beds, & wide-open spaces for many varieties of fruit trees, she became an “Amateur” Botanist and Food Preservationist, canning & freezing a bountiful basement FULL of fruits, vegetables, nuts, & honey from the bee-hives which Dad kept to pollinate the garden crops, fruit trees, and flowers (“Sweet Memories”)!!! With Dad as the Planter & Sons as the Gatherers She knit our Family together on the Hill-top which bears the Name “Connard’s Roost” where for sixty-seven years she LIVED Christ’s Creed, “It is more BLESSED to GIVE than RECEIVE”!!! She gave of HERSELF, her LOVE, her TIME, her ATTENTION & ADVICE garnered from a FULL LIFE with the eighty-seven years the Lord God Almighty (YHWH) so ABUNDANTLY BLESSED her & for whom she would TESTIFY when asked the reason for her HEALTH & LONGEVITY until just days before her death!!! Memories of Her LIFE & LOVE will be held in the HEARTS of MANY!!!

Her ENTIRE Family would like to GRATEFULLY acknowledge the Professional as well as the “Tender, Loving, Care” afforded she & our Family by the Staff of The Bower Hospice House located at Prosperity, West Virginia and the Staff & Family Friend, Mary Webb, of Melton’s Mortuary Services located in Beckley, West Virginia. May you EACH be BLESSED, as you have been a BLESSING to the Connard Family!!!
