Francis Eugene Harmon
Francis Eugene Harmon, 77 of Beckley WV passed away Wednesday November 21st at Appalachian Hospital. He was born on February 11th 1943 in Pemberton, WV to the late Clifford Harmon and Maxine Feagan.
Eugene married his life long soulmate Annie Bell Harmon on April 12th 1962.
Eugene and Ann had 3 children together. Two daughters. Sara Welch of Louisiana and Connie Meagher of Texas and the youngest was a son David Harmon of Frederick MD.
Eugene was a hard working man all thru his life not only by working but raising his children and his grand children always putting his family first. He worked in the coal mines for 8 years before getting laid off. This is when Eugene and Ann decided to move to Gaithersburg MD for a better opportunity for his family. He was offered a job at a company called Vitro where he worked for many years. Eugene and Ann lived in MD for 21 years until he retired and decided to move back home to Beckley WV. In 2009.
Eugene was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the West Mountaineers. He also loved watching NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother Sarah Hatfield and his brother Malcolm Harmon.
Those left to cherish and keep his memory alive forever and always was of course his beloved wife Ann Harmon, his two daughters Sara Welch and Connie Meagher. Son David Harmon. Seven grand children, Jennifer Casola, Candice Chango, Breanna Harmon, Adam Chango, Cody Mccleary, Brandon Mccleary and Jessie Harmon. Eugene was also lucky enough to have had the chance to be on this earth for 12 great grand children to be born oldest 18 to youngest 18 months. He loved his family so much and we will miss him until the last breathe in our body is gone.
Services will be held on November 30th at 12pm at the Free Will Baptist Church in Bradley WV. Please come join us celebrate Eugene’s life. Flowers can be donated in honor of Eugene’s life we only ask to have home plants, baskets arrangements or vase flower arrangements.
