Eva Gayle Angle Richmond

Eva Gayle Angle Richmond, age 62, passed away in her sleep at the home of her daughter; Monday, February 5th, 2018.

Born May 12, 1955, in Cleveland Ohio, she was the daughter of Bucillia “Brooke” Hughes Angle and late Paul Angle.
Those survivors left to cherish Eva’s memory include her husband of 39 years, Darrell Richmond. Her daughter; Krista Morris, married to Darrick Morris of Beckley; her son, Darrick Richmond and his wife, Ashley Richmond of Grandview. Brother, Gary Angle and his wife Sara Angle of Beckley. Grandchildren; Madison, Bailey and Brenna Tichnell. Nieces; Missy Young, Andrea Lafferty, Angela Reedy and Kayla Epling. Nephews; Kendrick Epling, Kevin Angle, Dennis Angle, and Randy Richmond. Great nieces and nephews; Ellison Lafferty, Jacob Young, Casey Young, and Tucker Lafferty. Sister-in-law; Janice Angle. Brother-in-law, Tim Epling; Special friends, Linda and Doug Epling, Mathew Epling, Gary Epling and family.

Eva worked at United Bank for 28 and half years where she met so many people in the community. She retired to take care of her mother, Brooke Angle; which she promised to always do. Eva also spent her time book keeping for the WV Miners baseball program. She was a dedicated fan to the WV Miners baseball organization. If the Miners were away for an away game, she and Brooke would always listen to the game on the radio, from beginning to end.

Eva loved fishing/boating with her husband Darrell and her children on Summerville’s Lake. She enjoyed making baby blankets for anyone that was expecting and she enjoyed going to auctions/flea markets looking for collectables.

Eva had the biggest heart and cared for everyone. She never met a stranger. If she met you once, you were automatically family in her eyes. She opened up her home to anyone with welcoming arms and was always there ready to listen. Eva always put others first, making her main goal in life to make others happy and to lend a helping hand. She was an active watcher of QVC, ordering multiple things at a time, meaning everyone in the family received a QVC gift (or several), whether it was lock-n-locks, phone chargers, cooking skillets, or coolers, everyone was getting something.

Along with her listening skills, great conversation, and generous gift giving, she was the best cook. She always made enough to feed a house full of people. If you ever went to eat Eva’s cooking, you knew you were going home with a full stomach and plenty of leftovers.

She was the type of person who had a contagious laugh and a warming smile. Eva was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt; but there was one name that she wore proudly and that name was “MOM NANA”. She was a MOM NANA to 3 beautiful girls; Madison, Bailey and Brenna, along with the soon to be 4th grandbaby of Darrick and Ashley. When her grandbabies would get in trouble with their mommy, they knew they could run to their “MOM NANA” to save the day and to get them out of trouble. Madison, Bailey and Brenna looked at their “MOM NANA” as their super hero. Eva would do anything in this world for her grandbabies. She made sure to spoil them rotten, hug them, kiss them, and love them every day. She was so excited to add another grandbaby to her life. She called the soon to be 4th grandbaby, “baby bean”. She loved looking at the progress that “baby bean” was doing and was so happy that her son was going to be a dad and she knew he’d be a great one. She had a heart full of love and never let that go unnoticed. We know that this love will never end, and Eva will continue to love and watch over us just as she had done before.

She was proceeded in death by her father, Paul Angle; sister, Debbie Angle Epling. brothers-in-law, Richard and Larry Richmond; father and mother-in-law; Eva and Charles Richmond.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 8th at 2:00 pm in the Melton Mortuary Chapel. Eva will be laid to rest in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. The family is receiving friends at 11:00 am.
