I have known Danny since High School. He and I played music with old friends at Steve Brown's home many many years ago. Danny and I once went over to Beckley Junior High to see a couple of young ladies and Preach Wiseman threw us out of the basketball game. I had just gotten Danny's contact information and had planned on surprising him this coming summer with a surprise visit. I shall miss him Louis Szuch Class of 1967 MHHS

I am so sorry for your loss. May God’s promise bring comfort to your family. There will be “a new earth... and He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore... I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:1-5

I went to WVU with Danny and Dabney. Of all the people I met there no one was akinder and gentler soul than Danny. Although years and life has sent us on different paths, I will cherish my memories of that time and of Danny. He was someone, when you look back at your life, you know you are a better person because of him. My prayers for him, Dabney and his family.

I was shocked & very saddened to hear of Dan's passing in today's paper. I had no idea he was having serious health problems. I feel awful that I hadn't been in contact with him & Dabney for the last few years. Dan was one of my best friends growing up & I was privileged to have known him most of my life. i will miss him greatly!

My deepest sympathy to Dabney and Jim. One of my favorite memories of Dan was when we attended the WVU Basketball Team's games in Puerto Rico. Dan and Dabney were so great together whether canoeing in the ocean or cheering at the game. It is so difficult to lose a wonderful man like Dan. Please know that my prayers are with you.

Rest in peace, cousin. I enjoyed our talks about choosing public service as a career. You chose a life that made other people's lives better. To paraphrase a quote by Bob Erlich, "It's appropriate to celebrate public service, and the thoughtful people who choose to serve. They symbolize what is good and decent about" our world. May this tribute to your life's work bring comfort to those who must now carry on without you.

Dan was my supervisor when I worked as a social worker for DHHR. He was a wonderful supervisor and a wonderful man. I am very sorry for your loss. I am sure that you have many wonderful memories of him. I will cherish the memories of him that I have for the short time that we worked together then and when he was the Administrator at Braxton DHHR.
