Barbara Louise Evans Parker
The Lord has taken another Angel home on Thursday August 10, 2017. Barbara went to be with husband while being surrounded by family and loved ones after a long hard fight with lung cancer.
Born January 3, 1954 in Chicago Illinois. She is the daughter of the late Walter R. Parker and Arnetta L. Parker. Barbara had three brothers. James “Jimmy” Parker (Laura Ann) of Carlise and there two kids. Dickey Parker of Ohio. Walter “Frankie” Parker of Route 61 (deceased). One half sister Doris, and a half brother Duke both of Oak Hill.
Barbara married her best friend Bobby Joe Evans(deceased) on December 25, 1976. Together they have four children. Angel Evans, Christopher Evans Tina Foster Michael Evans and Timothy Evans all of Glen Jean. A niece Frances (Dwayne) Marshall of Oak Hill. As well as a host of nieces nephews and in-laws. She was also considered the mom to the neighborhood kid as well as to her nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a daughter sister cousin wife mother grandmother and best friend to many people. Barbara loved animals. She volunteered at the animal shelter for many years. She loved to be outdoors gardening. To say she was a stay at home wife and mother doesn’t do her justice. She was a short order cook, referee, teacher, doctor, nurse, the rock of her family. She never turned anyone away especially kids. Barbara has five wonderful and lucky grandkids to have had her as a mawmaw. Barbara will be cremated at Melton Mortuary in Beckley, WV. In leiu of flowers you may send the family donations.
