Rebecca Jane Diedrich

Rebecca Jane Diedrich, age 87, recently of Beckley, WV, passed at her home on Wednesday, March 20th. She was born in Richwood, Ohio on August 10, 1936 to Bill and Kit Morrison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Diedrich, and her eldest son Keith E. McDaniel, sister Beth Carbonneau and her husband Marv. Those left to cherish her memory are her three remaining children, Kent McDaniel and wife Kay of Rochester, Minnesota, Kyle McDaniel and wife Wendy of Deltona, Florida, Dr. Kate McDaniel and husband Kevin McLaughlin, grandchildren Brianna McLaughlin and Kaitlyn Lawson, of Beckley,WV, brother John Morrison and wife Noelle of Minnesota, sister Molly Charles of Hilliard, Ohio. Two great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
After a lifetime of dedication as a school teacher, and teaching all over the country, she retired in 2002. Becky enjoyed many creative activities: sewing, wood-carving, writing, and painting. She was of the Baptist faith and a Charter member of NAMI ( National Alliance on Mental Illness) of Union County and served several years on the State of Ohio NAMI Board of Directors. Services will be on March 29th at 1:00 at Sunset Cemetery at 6959 West Broad St. Galloway, Ohio. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to NAMI of Ohio.
