Ralph Emerson Amick Jr. passed from this life on Thursday, April 11th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 28th, 1948, he was the son of the late Ralph Emerson Amick Sr, and Lucile Williams Amick.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 48 years Virginia Amick, two children Courtney (Shad) Stewart, and Aaron(Ashley) Amick, grandchildren Brooke, Abby, and Annabelle, and many other extended family and friends who will all miss him dearly.
Ralph was a patriot and a career military man serving in four out of the five branches of service, the US Army, the US Marine Corps, the US Navy, and the US Air Force. After being honorably discharged Ralph continued to serve in the reserves and the WV Air National Guard with the 130th Air Lift Group out of Charleston, WV. He then continued to serve as a physician assistant with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley, WV in the Orthopedic Department.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center who are honored to serve the family during this difficult time.
