John ("Jack") Milton Thompson, Jr., a lawyer practicing and residing in Fayetteville, WV, passed away March 26, 2024, after a brief illness.
A public Celebration of Life service for my Dad, Jack Thompson, will be held in the Main Courtroom in the Historic Fayette County Courthouse on Wednesday, April 3 at 2:00 PM.
Reception to follow in the courthouse, then a toast at Maggie's Pub to round out the evening.
The outpouring of support from the Judges and lawyers of the Bar, and the broader community, has been astonishing and healing during this overwhelming time. I still can't believe the courtroom was offered for Dad's service and how everyone's come together with creativity, food and energy to honor Dad in what will be an epic and fitting service.
