Douglas "Doug" Walter Kessler

Douglas "Doug" Walter Kessler, age 70, of Beckley, West Virginia, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 at his home in Beckley, West Virginia.

Doug was born May 31, 1953 in Mount Hope, West Virginia, the son of the late William (Cotton) Kessler and the late Margaret (Craft) Kessler. Doug is also preceded in death by siblings Robert "Bob" Kessler, Elizabeth "Liz" Kessler, and William "Bill" Kessler, Jr.

He married the love of his life, DeAnna Lynn Kessler (Trent) on July 19, 1997 in Lester, WV . Doug lived in several different states throughout his life until settling in northern Virginia for many years, until retiring from Dominion Electric Supply and returning to his home state of WV two years ago. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his spouse DeAnna Lynn Kessler of Beckley, WV; siblings Charlotte Mae Andrews (Jesse) and Naomi "Kay" Elliott; several loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, beloved pets Zoey and Charlie, and many wonderful friends and extended family members.

A Celebration of Doug's life will be held at the Lester First Church of God on April 27, 2024 at 12:00, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The church will offer refreshments immediately following the service.
